Breakfast, lunch and tool.

Breakfast — a blueberry bagel with butter. 8 points.

Lunch: A ham & cheese andwich, with mustard and pickles. 11 points.

Tool: Qdoba’s nutrition calculator, which convinced me not to have their delicious ancho bbq burrito for lunch today — but will allow me to cut it in half and have it for lunch two days next week, perhaps. It let’s you build your own meal, and calculates it a la cart.

I planned on having some sushi for lunch today. But the parking meter next to my space when I went to get my comics read “F.A.I.L.,” so I didn’t have a lot of confidence in a long-term stay. So I found a sushi restaurant on my ride home… and after I parked, I found out it was closed, despite the “Open” sign on the door. So, rather than get back in the car, I stopped at the Chinese restaurant down the street and had some lackluster curry chicken. Which I estimate cost me 16 points for lunch instead of the 8 I was planning to spend.

I’ve got a weigh-in in a little while, and I know in the long run it’s not a big deal (as long as I stay within my point totals, which are nine more for the day, plus my six remaining bonus points) it certainly doesn’t have me brimming with confidence.

I tried to plan, and got derailed the minute I encountered an obstacle. Ugh.

Forewarned? Forearmed.

Heading out to brunch with some friends, at Bistro Soliel in Hightstown. It’s a buffet, so things might get dicey. To prepare a bit, I checked out their brunch menu online — I might go for the nova lox on a bagel, and anything else will be just a taste.

In any event, I’ve eaten a cup of cherries (1 point, and my cult classifies it as a “filling food”) to fill up a little before heading out. And by the time I get to Hightstown there’ll be a cup of iced coffee in mah bellie as well.
