Yesterday, by the way, I had a light breakfast (a banana), a medium lunch (leftover tikka masala) and a heavy dinner (three toasted cheese sandwiches — one right after the meeting–waiting to eat until after the scale isn’t a good idea!–and two more when I realized I was too busy to make dinner). But all in all, I think I came within my point total for the day. Then I got hungry again, and had a banana. So, 2 bonus points down, 33 to go. And a birthday blowout looming…
Today’s breakfast was peanut butter toast & black coffee, 7 points. I’m planning to have a banh mi (vietnamese sandwich) once I get into the city. I’ve got no idea how many points it will be– never even seen one before–but I suspect it’ll be my heavy meal for the day. That’s what I get for editing restaurant reviews all night.

Yesterday.
September 29, 2009
A good day yesterday — stayed within points… almost, anyway.
Had an egge sandwich for breakfast, with a little snuffaluffagus cheese and onion. FOr lunch, a roast beef and provolone sandwich, followed by some grapes for a snack. For dinner, some spaghetti with Italian chicken sausage. Then I had an edy’s popsicle (2 points), which probably brought me to the end of my points. Just in case, though, I had a couple of pieces of chocolate-covered ginger, which wasn’t very good.

Breakfast.
September 22, 2009
An egg sandwich with hot sauce (are our eggs getting smaller?) and a glass or orange juice. 7 points.
Also, I plan to get to a meeting today, since I’ll have to miss my regular meeting tomorrow since I’ll be in the city with friends to see Hair. There’ll probably be drinking, and I’d rather be encouraged today than discouraged Thursday.

“It wasn’t my fault I got fat in the first place. Cakes are nice, and they have them in supermarkets.” — Ricky Gervais
Well, my bonus points are gone for the week, as a result of an all-you-can-eat sushi bar Saturday night (and if you’re doing WW and you’re going to an all-you-can-eat place, sushi is by far your best bet), and D&D (with its attendant chips and pizza) on Sunday. Today I stuck to my points, though maybe not making the healthiest choices (a waffle, two slices of leftover pizza, some applesauce, and a little piece of applesauce crumb cake).
Tomorrow, I’ll eat something else. And if I’m good, I’ll tell ya about it.

The Day So Far
September 18, 2009
Breakfast was an egg sandwich on a burger roll with peppers and some gorgonzola cheese. Six points.
Spent 5 more points a tuna fish sandwich — no mayo, just mustard. Also had a chewy granola bar for 2 points. And more iced coffee.
So that’s 13 points so far today — 20 left to go, but there’s a D&D game tonight. Better get ready.

Haven’t been toooo bad.
September 17, 2009
But I haven’t been too good either. Managed to salvage today, though. Had a late lunch, and planned on a small sandwich at the coffee shop while I wrote. Only the kitchen was closed, since their usual chef was out. So I ran down the street and get myself an italian hoagie — and not a very good one, but pretty big* — for lunch.Had a banana, too.
So when dinnertime came, I at least recognized that I wasn’t hungry yet. Had 6 points worth of hummus and mini-pitas as a snack, but that’s it. I don’t know if I completely salvaged the day, but it’s been hours since I ate that and I’m not hungry again yet.
Tomorrow I’ll hit a meeting, and find out the damage done.

Another ham sandwich lunch.

But this time on two burger rolls rather than two slices of bread. Same amount of meat & cheese though — i measured. 12 pints instead of 11. (Drinking some black coffee with it.)

Been a few days…
September 14, 2009
… but I think I’m on track. Dinner Saturday night was a low-point affair (delicious grilled pork and veggies!), which I rounded off with beer and corn chips and salsa & quacamole. Then dug into the points a bit with another beer and some ice cream. I estimate 10 bonus points, leaving me with 22.
Yesterday on my way to the writer’s conference, I had a bacon egg & cheese bagel, and some cream and sugar in my coffee. Then I had some KFC wings and mashed potatoes, and one more buscuit than I should have had. Then for dinner, I had some naan and leftover steak, followed up by a can of birch beer and some rum. I never had a good handle on how many points I ate, but I doubt it covered the whole 55 I had left (including bonus points). Nonetheless, I’m going to pretend they’re all gone for the remainder of the week.
For breakfast, I had some cheerios and milk. 5 points. 28 left today.

The end of yesterday, the beginning of today.
September 12, 2009
Let’s see — for the rest of yesterday, I had some hummus & mini pita (6 points) some tortolini & marinara sauce (11 points) and then, with 6 points left, more hummus & mini-pitas. (Sugar, I figured, would only make me want more sugar.) So I dipped one more point into the bonus pool, leaving me with 32.
This morning I had another sausage & egg sandwich and black coffee. The sausage has changed to andouille, however, which are 6-point sausages instead of 4. So a half is three, and the sandwich is 8.
25 points left to go; we’re eating out at friends’ tonight.

Thursday night and Friday morning.
September 11, 2009
So last night I had a pork chop (5 points), some macaroni & cheese (7 points) and some salad with a little crumbled gorgonzola on it. (2 points) That covered the 14 points I had left in the night, and I broke ground on my bonus points by having my leftover tomato soup, and a little later, some olives. (3 points total).
As for this morning, I had another sausage-egg sandwich, this time on a honey-wheat bagel, bumping it up to 9 points. And I’ve got some more coffee brewin’.
